Site Analysis
The site is essentially five faceted—two sides are road facing, three sides are on the periphery of green spaces. LOT 11725 shares a boundary with the site.
A space for an electrical transformer is subtracted from the site, further faceting the form in an unconventional manner—creating a geometry that demanded an equally unconventional design response.

Structure & Circulation
The traffic flow is a one-way design—anti-clockwise is the ascending route and clockwise is the descending route. The double threaded helix ramp rises two levels with every full rotation, allowing two threads to be intertwined and stacked on top of each other.
This facilitates circulation to designated parking spaces without passing through all spaces—inbound and outbound traffic is separated and never meets head on.

Time is of essence and ease of use is fundamental to the successful operation of the parking structure. The double threaded helix circulation system is utilized for this reason—though it poses significant complexity in positioning due to the faceted form of the site.
